You Know Me Better Than I Thought

 They say traveling together is one of the ultimate relationship tests, and this trip proved just that.

It was my first getaway with my partner, only a few months into dating. As we were walking back to the car along the Monterey Bay coast, I spotted a purple field of flowers and, naturally, couldn’t resist exploring. We’d agreed to head home, but I insisted it’d only take 10 minutes.

My partner, with an amusing laugh, suggested we drop off our bags first knowing I’d want to keep on wandering. But I kept on insisting that it won't take long. Guess what? 30 minutes later, we were still chasing the purple flower field! This painting captures that moment—the spot where we finally decided to make it our last stop before heading back. It’s dedicated to realizing I’d found someone who not only understands my wandering spirit but actually embraces it!
