My aim is to bring nature's unreal scenery to life on canvas. I want to evoke a sense of serene familiarity and adventure in my paintings and I hope you can feel what I feel through my art!

The Call of Nature and Art

From a young age, I have always been drawn to art and nature. It was an unexplainable pull, a need to have both as central parts of my life. This passion led me to explore various ways of capturing nature's beauty in my art.

Evolution of Style

I started by stitching together different natural scenes to create unique landscapes. Initially, I aimed for realism, but as it proved time-consuming, I began exploring pointillism and impressionism. These styles allowed me the freedom to use non-natural colors and became my default for nearly a decade.

Deepening Connection with Nature

As my love for nature grew, I found myself traveling to more natural places each year. The COVID-19 pandemic deepened this connection, inspiring me to visit even more national and state parks. While hiking, I noticed that some places had such unique color palettes that I could identify them by colors alone. Photos often failed to capture the true majesty I felt.

A New Artistic Direction

This realization led me to experiment with different painting styles to convey the majestic feelings these places evoked. I began using exaggerated angles and vibrant colors with extreme contrasts to capture each location's essence and unique palette. I also started using palette knife painting to add texture and make my paintings pop. This new style has been incredibly fun and fulfilling!

The Journey Continues

My exploration doesn't end here. I'm always looking for new ways to express bold emotions. Lately, I've been venturing into surrealism to further expand my vision, hoping to find a way to combine these styles.
