Smaller Than We Think, Bigger Than We Thought

This one’s for anyone who needs a little shift in perspective right now.
When I was looking out from the Grand Prismatic Overlook in Yellowstone, I remember thinking, “the people look so tiny from here… and the spring looks way bigger than I thought.”
It reminded me of what astronauts describe as the “overview effect,” that feeling they get when they see Earth from space and realize how small our worries really are, and how connected everything actually is. From up there, they don’t see borders or problems, just one beautiful, fragile planet floating in space.
This painting is my grounded reflection of that:
When I start overthinking, the message becomes: Our worries are smaller than we think. Our opportunities are bigger than we thought.
When I start doubting myself, the message becomes: Our limitations are smaller than we think. Our capabilities are bigger than we thought.
And if you can tell, I added my signature golden path where the people are walking. To me, it represents all the golden opportunities waiting for us when we’re ready to take that next step.
