I was on an evening bus tour heading to Brooklyn when we crossed the river just as the evening was fading into night. What caught my eye was that it wasn’t completely nighttime yet. The sky had this deep blue hue instead of black, and the city lights looked amazing against it. I also loved how the boat passing by created a gentle disturbance in the water, especially with the foam trailing behind.
I aimed to portray three key elements: the contrast between the glowing city and the deep blue sky, the boat's disruption of the water's stillness against the urban backdrop, and the bridge framing the river's path—a perfect blend of motion and structure in the twilight hour.
