Glistening Rippling Portal

When I visited Toketee Falls, I didn’t expect to have to use ropes to climb down to a secluded spot—but it was so worth the effort! 

The view was breathtaking, with the unique vertical rock formations framing the waterfall, the light pouring through an opening and casting one side of the pool in bright, shimmering light while the other stayed cool and shaded. It felt almost angelic, like a moment of peace and hope in nature.

I set out to capture that angelic feeling in this painting, but it took me somewhere unexpected, like a portal to another world. While the water retains that peaceful, heavenly glow, the rest of the painting leans into a surrealist adventure.
