Coming Down From Heavenly

After a great day of snowboarding and skiing at the Heavenly Ski Resort, my friends and I would take the Gunbarrel Lift down. Each time we descended, we were always in awe of Lake Tahoe's beauty, and I knew I had to paint it one day.

This painting is my attempt to share that experience - both for those who've never seen this view and to evoke shared memories for those who have. It's an invitation to pause and marvel at nature's grandness, just as I did on those unforgettable rides down the mountain.

I chose a long horizontal canvas to capture the lake's vastness and panoramic view. The contrast between the deep blue water and the surrounding snow and trees left a lasting impression. My aim was to convey not just the visual beauty, but also the peaceful energy of this alpine landscape. Through this painting, I hope to bring a piece of that magical Lake Tahoe experience to others.
