An Unexpected Surprise

Have you ever gone on a hike expecting an epic view—and you got that—but then a hidden gem pops up and makes it even better? And you’re just standing there like, Why did no one mention this?!

That was me at Mt. Rainier! The mountain was even bigger and wider than I expected, and then—out of nowhere—a waterfall! 🤯 Even with snow all around! Everyone talks about the wildflowers, but no one mentions the waterfall. It ended up being one of my favorite parts of the hike!

I love capturing moments like this in my paintings, the ones that take you by surprise and make you pause in awe. Have you ever had a moment like this that totally caught you off guard (in the best way)?
