A Peek Into Our WA Adventures

This commissioned piece celebrates a couple’s adventurous spirit and their love for the breathtaking beauty of Washington State. The rolling hills are inspired by Maple Pass in North Cascades National Park, while the majestic mountains pay tribute to Washington’s iconic peaks: Mt. Baker, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Rainier (from left to right). The colors were chosen to reflect their favorite hues and harmonize with the tones of their home, creating a meaningful connection to the artwork.

To ensure the piece felt truly personal, I focused on both their words and the subtle cues they shared. The wife’s love for a graceful curvy yellow line and the husband’s eye for bold orange accents guided the composition. Together, these elements weave the story of their adventures and shared memories into the painting.
